James Bond
A cool, calm, reassured trader that is ready for any situation that trading may present you. You are well educated, you have all the correct trading tools and understand your own trading edge back the front.
Where to From Here…
The best thing you can do now is to make sure you have the best charts and broker to save on trading commissions and costs, and to continue to fill out your trading journal.
Regular reviews of your journal could increase your profit margins in your trading business. This can also help you pick up on any mistakes and any potential failures that could be creeping into your trading edge. Your trading journal is your first line of defence when it comes to protecting against your trading edge. Make sure you use it!

The Wolf
You have a lot of experience in the markets, both good and bad and you are committed to finding success.
You have shown already that you have the passion, the commitment and the discipline to be a successful trader, you are just not quite there yet…
Where to From Here…
If you continue on the path you are on, then success will be yours, but only if you work hard at making your trading business into a machine.
You need to continue getting educated, use your demo trading account to perfect your method, and spend time in the markets building your high probability edge over the rest of the market.

Indiana Jones
The adventurer always looking to take down the next big 10/1 risk reward winner. You are new to the trading business and keen as mustard to find and source as much different information as you can.
This is normal, but can be extremely overwhelming, especially when there are so many different methods and so many different ideas around.
The Best Way Forward…
Whilst it is great to have information at your fingertips, it can also be a really big hindrance to where you want to go.
Rather than the help it is intended to be; too much information, all with conflicting views is sure to confuse and inflict ‘analysis paralysis'.
The best thing you can do for your trading is to commit to a method that suits your personality and become the MASTER of it.
Instead of being the jack of every second indicator or trading system, perfect the one method and learn it back the front. You can then perfect the heck out of it on your New York close demo charts before going live.
Once profitable on one method, you can move on and learn other methods if you choose to. This is by far the best way for you when learning to become consistently profitable.

Trading Pup
Whilst the markets are not new, in trading terms you are a trading pup. You are beginning to gain a solid grasp of the market and at times make really promising winning trades.
However; you often take steps backwards and give back your profits with decisions you quickly regret that leave you scratching your head and wondering why you just did that.
Where to From Here…
The best thing for you and your trading is to start making a lot of trades on a New York Close demo account.
Using a backtester can also help you iron out these kinks from your trading and get you use to making high probability trades time and time again.
You need to formulate a trading plan that you are happy with, you understand and that you can repeat just like a machine so that when you go into the market all you are doing is pulling the trigger on your trading edge.
To get to that stage however, you need to practice just like a golfer would practice their putting or an archer would practice aiming at their targets. The best way for you to practice is using something like Forex tester 3 backtester.
FT3 allows you to make a lot of trades in a really short amount of time. You can make the same amount of trades you would normally make in one whole year in just a couple of hours because you can fast forward the time.
Obviously that is super powerful and could take your trading forward in leaps and bounds if done correctly.

I want to see myself trading confidently and with consistent profit.
Thanks Johnathon. Cheers!

Training Pup
Yes I do agree with this title. I am fairly new to trading and I am gaining a generally understand of a training plan. This topic has been around me for a few months now. Until now I am trying to understand and learn how to trade. Over the past a couple of days I feel like I am making some kind of progress. First things first gotta come up with that trading plan
Trading Pup
Discipline is needed much. Adhere to my Trading in order to find ways to improve
I am still learning how to trade with an unreliable Internet connection. That means I will need to plan, and place my trades around the timing of bad service.
I like the simplicity of being a naked trader. I can get crazy with indicators, and from what I have learned from mere price action is how late those can be to the party, while others like directional volume appear to be in real time with price bars.
Your input is great, and if you have any price action remedies for getting around bad Internet that would be great as well.
I am a swing trader. How can a price action or structure based trader set up his rule.
And is it a must you must write it in a paper.
I agree with the result. I want to move from this level of trading to a level where I will be more discipline and make consistent trading decisions that will yield positive result not just because I follow some rules of a particular strategy developed by a professional trader But because I understand what forex market is and also the basics for whatever strategy that I’ll be using as a trader
Result: Trading Pup
I agree with this I entered FOREX trading without muck knowledge but depended on my Coach: Whilst the markets are not new, in trading terms you are a trading pup. You are beginning to gain a solid grasp of the market and at times make really promising winning trades.

It described very well but success is taking too long, the reason is I can’t give enough time for trading because of my job. I am trading since last 4 years and tried many strategies but I can’t take all the trade due to other work. Only strategy working for me is price action at support and resistance but something is still missing.

Hi Masoud,
the best thing you could probably do is stick to your demo account with your chosen strategy until you know you are profitable and have a method for making money consistently. Then look at trading live once again.

I am a trading pup, trying to become great at trading with great skills to help myself through flight training school and college
Am a trading pub and I quite agree with it cause sometime I would make a strong analysis and be patient to let the market do what it does without worrying, but like every beginner we get trapped by the idea of wanting to catch every train hence we fall for the false brakes and boom you regret later
Thank you for the emails Jonathan I always look forward to reading them you always keep me going, for that you are appreciated

Im Trading Pup. 😞
A “Trading Pup” yes, describes me to a tee. Been trading with a not very retributable broker now for two months. with a 250e managed account. Its been a constant battle with my account manager on the phone trying to force me too put more monies into the account, which I am reluctant to do even though the account has grown too 1800e. I have also opened a Demo account £5000 Initially lost £3000 of that, but now keeping around the £4000 mark thanks too all your teachings in the forexschoolonline courses. These are a must for all newbies. I have learnt far more than I expected to, and in such a short time. I feel almost ready. too open another account with the broker recommended through the forex school. Onwards and Upwards….
Thank you Johnathon
I am Indiana Jones as the quiz says and also were an indicator junky and glad finally someone talks about price action, not the indicator. I am ready to put the full force to get it right, please let me know how can I start.
Thank for you the Quiz Johnathon Fox I believe I’m going to learn and master my strategy under guidance
You’re welcome and great to have you.
Johnathon
Indiana Jones – absolutely – with a huge dose of analysis paralysis
Indiana Jones for now 🙂
Hi Johnathon Fox
I want to learn forex trading to make profit and show it to other people so they too try to learn and trade.
At present aI am too busy and can not study and practice trading with it needs .
I thought of going to London trading academy for training. I need your advice for a training physical facility like the LTA in London.
Thank you for the Quiz.
I do not know much about Indiana Jones, but I agree with the trader description. Moreover I knew it before taking the test.
I have been loosing trades for years now; I am over the “indicator’s syndrome” and I realised that price tells you all you need, it embodies the sentiments of all the traders in the world. One has just to be able to interpret it and trust one’s judgement.
In theory I know all this, but then I change my attitude when trading and fear losses as if they would diminish myself (and not just my account).
Anyway, I had never written to a mentor before; may be it is a sign that I am about to change.
Best regards and best wishes for a New Year
Oscar
Nice to hear from you Oscar and successful 2019!
Johnathon
Hi jonathon ,my name is Abel from Kenya ,am Very new in Forex trading ,I would like to learn and be closely mentored ,in future I want to a real expert
Indiana Jones .. Thanks you very much for your time to prepare this amazing quiz Johnathon ..Its so wonderful and great stuff of you .. Need to do more practice in my trading … Cheers ..
i am the wolf
I am a the Wolf, my only problem is that I trade somuch currency pairs, may be 7-8 pairs. The year a made a furtune was 2015 when Swiss remove their peg on euro, boom 1500+ pips down on usd/chf then i went long the next day on same pair because I knew for sure it’s going to reverse. Overall history I made profit, but I loose consistently!
I’m a wolf!
I am a trading pup, trying my best to analyze what the candles giving me, I like to follow ATR and MOVING AVERAGE indicator. I started trading on 4 pairs at a time and traded for 2 days and close all for 46 dollar +. I say this must be a fluke. I must have learned a lot by reading your lessons. Thanks and hope to go on with trading.
I’m an indiana jones I’ve been trading now for 2 yrs and have made the move to trading full time. I have a system that fits me using the 5min charts. I have proved the system to be profitable yet am going through a stage of not taking the trade set up when it shows up. The pressure of doing it full-time is obviously different and my brain has created a risk aversion problem which I have taken to meditation to get back on track.
Another Indiana Jones here 🙂 Ah, we are too many 😉
New in the Forex trading markets, wanted to Master the trading
Johnathon Fox,
I have scoured the wolf from the quiz . Onec again thanks for your begainer price action course. I have completed the course and testing my strategy ( position swing trading)based on price action. The 80% of trading decision I made are right. Although some times I’m scared , is it I’m doing well in my technical analysis or I’m getting lucky. Can u give some suggestions.
To be frank with you, I’m not yet a trader. I’m still to begin. For now I’m still at the level of gathering information and trying to familiarize myself with the DEMO environment. So who am I? .
I’m a devoted trainee hunting for all necessary and essential information to cultivate myself into a serious trader whose life will depend solely on trading.. This is why I solicited for your coaching and mentorship. I want you to transform me into a real professional forex trader of international repute. I trust you can do this for me..
Hi Ettah,
did you take the quiz to find out who you are?
You have started as you have started the process of learning and are here right now. It is not only the entering of trades that makes a trader.
You can find a ton of free information including a guide on how to use MT4 demo by using search at bottom of page.
Safe trading,
Johnathon
I hava the TDI and currency strength meter(free versions) downloaded on my demo account. Most of the time works, but then sometimes it wipes everything.
Hi Subbarao,
have you settled on a strategy, method and decided what you will perfect?
Johnathon
For now, I’m Indiana Jones and totally agree. 🙂
I’m just starting in this and really hope to be able to complement my income.
Your lessons are really helpful.
Thanks, Johnathon!
